Refurbished Cell Phones Have Many Advantages

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

The average person buys a new cell phone every 1.5 years. The majority of people that replace phones or upgrade their phones do so before their contract with their service provider is up, so they end up paying full retail price for the phone. An alternative that most people do not consider is purchasing refurbished cell phones for their replacements and even upgrades. Getting a used or refurbished phone is also a more eco-sensitive choice, at fact that is often overlooked when people talk about used or refurbished cell phones. However, since you are buying a used product, you do need to be a more aware shopper. Here are some things to consider when investigating used cell phones.

One of the first things you need to think about is what cellular service provider you will be operating on. If you are sticking with your current provider, this is a simple exercise. If you plan to switch, deciding what provider you plan to use will have some impact on what used blackberry you look in to since most phones are designed to operate on only one network.

Another thing to think about is whether you need a cell phone that is unlocked. Purchasing an unlocked phone means that you’ll be able to activate the phone on one of many networks versus just one, so unlocked phones give you more options. They also come in handy for people that do a lot of international travel as they can be activated on networks in other countries, allowing you to avoid paying the high cost to roan on international networks.

The majority of refurbished and used phones are sold by third party vendors who specialize in selling refurbished, used, and unlocked phones. As such, you need to be aware of what vendor you select as most are not big national corporations like cellular service providers that sell new phones. One good way to tell a reputable third party unlocked blackberry vendor from a sketchy one is to find a vendor that offers a warranty on their used phones. Offering a warranty established some credibility on behalf of the seller and should build confidence in your purchase. Although a small operation or even an individual person may be able to give you the best price, you also need to be aware that some phones sold by these people could be stolen or dysfunctional.

If you enter this purchase decision as an educated consumer, you will almost certainly come out on top. You can find used cell phones in any model – even the latest and greatest smart phones, and they will almost always save you some money while delivering the functionality that you need.

Review of Nokia E71 by Cell2Get (get FREE Coupons For Cell2Get here.)

While most of the newer Nokia models tend to be directed toward individuals, Nokia E71 along with E66 are both designed with the corporate community in mind (we here at Cell2Get just love this phone). Just released during the summer of 2008, the E71 has a full keyboard making it easier for business travelers to stay in touch with clients and the home office. The phone also includes a 3.2 megapixel camera, quite a bit of memory for a cell phone camera. Add this to the GPS navigation receivers, and you have the perfect cell phone combinations for the business traveler or even the executive or staff member that must travel frequently to meet clients or vendors (all Cell2Get staff members use this phone, learn more About Cell2Get).

The Nokia E71 is very thin at only 10 millimeters thick and with so many users opting for full QWERTY keyboards, there’s little wonder why this new model is creating a great deal of interest within the corporate world. Some of that may be due in part to the fact that Nokia has not developed a new business phone since the E51 was released about a year prior to the release of the E71. Both the E71 and the E66 are destined to become very popular for business people because of their design, durability and features.

The Features of an LG Chocolate KG800 Unlocked GSM Cell Phones

The recent world of mobile technology becomes more and more advanced, with better gadgets being released into the market. One of the most beneficial devices that you can get your hands on is a mobile phone, which you can use for different purposes. There are hundreds of cell phone models in the market, with plenty of manufacturers. One of these is the Chocolate KG800 of LG, which comes with attractive features. Because of this, it is considered as one of the leading mobile phone lines. Despite the fact that this brand comes with amazing features, it does not cost much. The LG Chocolate KG800 is relatively affordable and offers Bluetooth for those who simply must have Bluetooth Wireless Headsets.

The Exterior Features of the LG KG800

The Chocolate KG800 of LG is a stunning slide camera phone. The color of its casing is black, with a glossy silver section that separates its display screen from its touch sensitive keypads. Depending on the color that you want, you can have the backlight of the keypads changed. You can have this modified at affiliated dealers of LG phones or at your favorite cell phone shop. This backlight glows while you are using the phone and automatically fades if the phone is not in use. Aside from the Chocolate KG800, you can also find other colors for this model.

The Display Screen and Camera Features of the LG KG800

The Chocolate KG800 of LG has a 2-inch colored screen. This screen provides a bright and vivid display with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution. On the other hand, the 1.3-megapixel camera of the KG800 comes with a built-in automatic flash and while its no Professional Digital SLR Cameras, it’ll do the trick for a cell phone camera. When the mobile phone is turned to a slide position, you will be able to see its LED flash, mirror, and camera lens. This LG cell phone model also comes with a memory card, where you can save the images or pictures that you have taken. The LG KG800 features a video, which you can use to record, save, or stream videos. You can save your favorite music video here and watch it to your heart’s content.

The LG KG800 Comes with GSM Communications

One of the wonderful features of the LG Chocolate KG800 mobile phone is its GSM transmission. Through Global System for Mobile transmission, you will be able to receive phone calls and call someone or send and receive messages. This GSM feature is a standard for mobile phones. It is in the year 1991, when GSM is offered for commercial purposes. Until the present times, it is the most well-known transmission technology for mobile phones all throughout the world.

The standard GSM transmission makes use of digital TDMA technology. This permits three voice calls from different numbers to be recorded simultaneously. This is attained through the technology of digital compression. GSM builds upon this technology along with encryption. A benefit that you can obtain from GSM communications is its additional security. Through GSM transmission, you will be using a Subscriber Identification Module or SIM card to activate your mobile phone. The SIM card is a small chip, which you slip behind your LG KG800. Despite its really small size, it is capable of holding quite an amount of user’s information. Among these are your contacts, messages received and sent, calls received, dialed numbers, and your personal subscriber information. Even if you are using another mobile phone, you will still be able to retrieve this information, provided that you use the same SIM card.
